Painting en plein air has become part of my weekly artistic practice, and my subject has been the area in which I live. The Finger Lakes offer a spectacular variety of clouds, farms, vineyards, open fields, gorges, back roads, and lakes to explore. I have spent the last 20 years roaming these hills and feel very much rooted here. I hope to convey my deep love and respect for this land, and for the people who lived and died here.
