Memorial to the Lost Voices

This is a tribute to the 6 millions Jews who perished in the Holocaust, and specifically a memorial to the Jews of Lwow Ghetto and the Janowska Death Camp.  I have placed the image of “Under the Bridge” across in degrees of the lightness, to insinuate bringing light to the historic events which happened here, and on the bottom is the carved stone which reveals the only indication that a death camp existed in this location.   The image is in the shape of a cross to imply some responsibility of the Catholic church for not speaking out against the Final Solution.  And the pale slip of paper in the middle is reference to  the arm bands worn by Jews as ordered by the Nazis. And the text signifies the silent voices of those who can no longer speak for themselves, to tell their stories of what happened in this time and place.
