Feeding the Pigeons

My two sons are feeding pigeons in the main market square in Krakow, Poland, the city the Nazis left untouched because the inhabitants quickly surrendered to them to protect its historic treasurers.  My mother-in-law lived here during the war, using false papers pretending to be a Polish Christian, and bought and sold lingerie on the black market here.  She would then travel to Warsaw to give the money to relatives in hiding there.
