Irish Series

In 1990 my friend and I went to Ireland for three weeks to paint, but also to investigate the printmaking scene.  We traveled to Dublin and Cork and visited print shops to gain a better understanding of what was possible as we explored the possibility of starting a print studio in Ithaca. I created a series of pastels and monoprints based on this trip, followed by another trip my family took the following year. Most of the pastels were done en plein air.
